Reader Terms
Last updated: August 2026
These terms cover buying and reading books on gimmebook. They apply to you as a reader. If you also sell books here, the Author Terms of Service cover that side of your account.
1. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM
Books are sold by Tiny Worlds, LLC, trading as gimmebook. The author writes the book, lists it and sets its price, but your purchase is with us. If something goes wrong, contact us, not the author. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we never receive or store your card details.
2. WHAT YOU GET
A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable right to download the book and read or listen to it on the devices you use. Ebooks are delivered as EPUB, audiobooks as MP3 or M4B, and the files carry no DRM, so nothing stops you moving a copy between your own devices and apps.
What it does not include: reselling, renting or giving the file to other people, or uploading it anywhere others can get it. The copy is yours to read and keep; the book itself stays the author's.
3. DELIVERY AND DOWNLOADS
After payment we email you a download link. You have 60 days from delivery, and up to 5 downloads, to save your copy. The files are yours to keep; after 60 days, or once all 5 downloads are used, the book is no longer available from your library, so download it and keep it somewhere safe. A download is counted when it starts, not when it finishes, so if your connection drops partway through, ask support and we will make sure you are not left short. If a link stops working inside your 60 days, get a fresh one from the purchases page on gimmebook using the email you bought with, or ask support. If the delivery email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then contact support and we will get your book to you. Access is not extended automatically after it ends, though we will look at genuine problems case by case.
4. REFUNDS
You can ask for a refund while your order is still inside its refund window and you have not downloaded the book. The length of that window is set when you buy and is shown with your purchase. Downloading the file ends the right to a refund, because at that point you have the file and it cannot be taken back. A download only counts here once it completes: an interrupted download does not end your refund right. And if something is wrong with the book itself, section 7 applies instead.
None of this limits rights you have under consumer law where you live. Those apply whatever these terms say.
5. WHERE WE SELL
We do not sell in every country yet; checkout decides whether a purchase can go through. If we do not serve your country yet, you can join the waitlist and we will email you when we do.
6. YOUR ACCOUNT AND CONDUCT
You need a working email address to receive your book. Do not use gimmebook to defraud anyone, to abuse authors or staff, or to work around the download limits or the geographic rules above. We can decline or reverse a sale and block access where we believe in good faith that something is fraudulent.
7. IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH A BOOK
Contact support. If a file is broken, mislabelled, or not what the page described, we will fix it, replace it, or refund it. If you believe a book infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to dmca@gimmebook.com.
8. PRIVACY
What we collect and what we do with it is set out in the Privacy Policy. The short version for readers: we keep your email address and your order record so that you can get your book and so that we can help you. The usage data described in the Privacy Policy helps us keep improving the service.
9. CHANGES
We may update these terms. The current version is always available on gimmebook, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones in force when you bought.
10. LIMITS AND CONTACT
gimmebook is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tiny Worlds, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under consumer guarantees where they apply.
For anything else, contact support through the support form on gimmebook.
