Description
A grieving widow crosses a frozen lake, carrying the unspoken regrets of her marriage.
A grieving widow crosses a frozen lake, carrying the unspoken regrets of her marriage. But the wild is indifferent to her sorrow. When she witnesses a visceral fight for survival between a solitary moose and starving winter wolves, she must navigate the treacherous ice, nature's raw will to live, and the bitter words she can no longer take back.
About the Author
J. Curtis
J. Curtis spent years in hardware and tech before concluding that books were more interesting. He founded Tiny Worlds Publishing out of Northern California, where he publishes emerging authors and edits The Midnight Vault — a Twilight Zone-adjacent anthology that is also, somehow, a live event. His debut novel, ISLA, arrives in 2026. He came up in tech. It shows in the architecture; it doesn't show in the prose, which he considers a win.
