Speak No Evil: 13 Stories

M.P. Fitzgerald

I am a sci-fi author, artist, and satirist with two short stories published by small presses and three novels in my "A Happy Bureaucracy" series, a post-apocalyptic parody where the IRS survives nuclear Armageddon. I run Graphomania, a newsletter on Substack where I write about sneaking into your house (yes, YOUR house) with updates on my shenanigans, as well as writing short stories you cannot get anywhere else. I promise two things with my stories: they are never boring, and they are never forgettable. My fiction has been compared to Black Mirror—I think they are cowards. Graphomania is free, but my archive is not. Still, there are always at least a few stories you can read for free. My fiction hurts, is more funny than a clown funeral, and is Post-cyberpunk satire that punches up. Flawed characters desperate for their humanity, where the environment is violence thrust upon them. It's despair with peanut butter. My fiction may not be for you, but it is about you, and also I am in your house... Fiction is culture. Whimsy is a weapon; let's play with the safety off.
